Community Gardens
City dwellers don’t have much of an opportunity to try their hand at gardening. However, a vacant lot can be transformed into a thriving green space where people gather to learn and grow at least some of their own food.
A community garden is a natural space where our youth and their families come together to plant flowers, fruits, vegetables, and herbs. This also provides a unique opportunity, especially in urban areas, to help connect with nature.
